Wyche Attorneys in Public Service

Various members of the firm are actively involved in local and national politics (in both the Republican and Democratic parties)—some have run for public office, for the most part with favorable results.

The firm is also well represented in local civic affairs. Our members include a past president of the United Way, a chairman of the board of an African-American community service organization, a former City Council member, a past chairman of the local housing authority, a chairman of the Greenville County Board of Health, a panel member of the South Carolina Procurement Panel, a Commissioner of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, a dedicated champion of public education who is a board member of Success by Six, Graduate Greenville and the Alliance for Quality Education, and several attorneys who are active in the local chapter of the Urban League.

Several Wyche attorneys have also served in the military. The firm has a former U.S. Army Infantry Platoon Leader in Vietnam, two former Air Force fighter pilots, a former Marine JAG, a former Army intelligence officer, and a former Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State/Major in the Marine Corps.
