Public and Private Development

The accomplishment of projects that are significant and meaningful in the life of a community frequently requires the joint effort of both private business and the local government. The creation of these joint efforts is often complex and detailed, and involves uncharted legal ground. In short, these are the types of transactions in which Wyche attorneys excel.

Recently, we have represented private entities in structuring, negotiating and drafting agreements with governmental entities for significant public projects, including:

  • Represented the developer in connection with the structuring of the private-public arrangement the drafting and negotiation of the primary contracts, and the financing for the largest arena in the Upstate of South Carolina.
  • Represented the developer/construction manager in connection with the drafting and negotiation of the Development, Program Management and Construction Management Agreement with the School District of Greenville County for its $1 billion facilities construction program.
