Troy is a litigation generalist with experience in many different areas, including the conduct of nearly fifty jury or bench trials to verdict. A sample of his specific experience includes:
- Handling copyright infringement claims for the copyright owner, including a multi-million dollar settlement prior to trial and several other major settlements after litigation commenced;
- Obtaining an extremely favorable settlement of a claim against an insurance carrier for a major corporate client after several days of trial;
- An active products liability defense practice, including a case in which he secured the disqualification of an expert witness and, as a result, summary judgment in favor of the defendant;
- Securing several substantial personal injury awards on behalf of plaintiffs, including a nearly $1 million settlement in a products liability case;
- Obtained substantial jury verdict in federal court in favor of executive discharged in breach of his employment agreement;
- Handling securities litigation claims on behalf of plaintiff or defendant; and
- Second chair in the defense of a death penalty case resulting in consecutive life sentences for the defendant.
