John C. Moylan III, Member

John represents both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court. He also represents governmental clients and private clients before governmental bodies. John has been certified as a mediator since 2005 and serves by appointment of the South Carolina Supreme Court as a member of the Commission on Lawyer Conduct since 2005.

As an advocate for his clients and friends, John has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Newsweek Magazine, and People Magazine. He has also appeared on national television shows including Larry King Live, MSNBC, and Fox News.

Representative Matters

John has represented the plaintiffs in a qui tam lawsuit filed under the Federal False Claims Act that resulted in the largest healthcare settlement in the history of South Carolina. John successfully represented the lead plaintiffs in South Carolina's redistricting litigation; served as trial attorney in numerous business litigation, employment, and real estate development contests; has represented health care providers; and has represented plaintiffs in medical malpractice actions, including a trial that resulted in a multi-million dollar verdict.
