Jim heads up our firm's Real Estate and Economic Incentives Practice Groups. He represents developers, public and private companies, lenders and investors in a wide variety of sophisticated real estate transactions, including the development, acquisition, disposition and tax-deferred exchange and contribution of properties, as well as build-to-suit and other leases for retail, commercial and industrial projects. Jim also advises clients and helps clients structure and obtain various state and local economic incentives in connection with the development or expansion of projects.
Represented a private developer in connection with all aspects of the development and construction of a LEED certified multi-story office building located on the campus of the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research located in Greenville, South Carolina.
Represented a large publicly traded company in the development of a master planned corporate campus.
Performed economic incentive work for an out-state manufacturer in connection with a project investment in excess of $100 million.
